PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by our Chairman, Harry Tonn.
The minutes of March 26, 1963 were read and approved.
Members present: Tonn, Lovejoy, Noel, Jantzer, Ayres and Williams.
Mr. E. W. Jones wants the alley (10 ft. ) that runs through his property
to be closed. His land on both sides of alley is being abused by users.
(A letter from him enclosed. ) A motion by Ayres, seconded by Noel to
have an on site inspection of the Jones peoperty and see what should be
done with the alley. Motion carried. On site inspection on May 23, 1963.
A motion made by Ayres, seconded by Noel to hold a public hearing on the
Frank Koch property on First St. , on May 28, 1963. Motion carried.
A plan was presented by Mr. Teets to build a two bedroom apartment
over the cleaners and Second and Oak St. A 'motion by Noel, seconded
by Lovejoy to accept the plans presented by Mr. Teets after the
existing building and the plans are examined and accepted as to City.
Code. Motion carried. A statement was made that the sidewalk cover
at this location does not meet City Codel
A motion made by Noel, seconded by Jantzer to add a line to Ordinance
304, Section 11 paragraph "Site Area" to read, "With approval of the
City Planning Commission." Motion carried.
A motion by Noel, seconded by Ayres to hold a Public. Hearing on
vacating of the Alley between Ninth and Tenth streets between Hazel
and Cherry on May 28, 1963. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8:35 P.M. by Chairman Tone.
