HomeMy WebLinkAboutMarch 27, 1962 12.6 Central Point Planning; Commission March 27, 1962 Meeting called to order by Chairman Bartley at 7:30. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. Members present: Williams, King, Tonn,' Bartley, Noel and Jantzer.. ' Committies gave reports on projects out. The .Mayor said all Planning Comm. minutes will be read at Council Meetings Motion made by Tonn and seconded by Bartley to have, a Planning Comm. member attend all City Council regular meetings to help explain recommendations. Tonn gave report on cost of irregation. Motion made by Tonn and seconded by King to have City Council approve irri,gation .for the new park. Carried. New Business A proposed annexation was presented to Commission and the.,people would like to get a cost break down as to how ,much each landowner would have to pay, percentage-wise. Planning commission is going. to study plat and try to arrive at a price percentage break down before further action is taken. A copy of a letter to Mr. Carstensen from Mr. Jensen (asst. Sanitary ' Engineer) was sent to. us :requesting .a written acceptance from the city to maintain the sewer on the Royal Heights Subdivision after it is installed by the land-owner. The sewer is O.K9 but the pumping plant seems to be a problem. A Motion by Tonn, seconded by Keith. to accept sewer pumping plant if a standby pump for each plant be furnished by Mr. Mead useable in either plant. Carried. The planning commission will meet Thursday afternoon at 6:00 P.M. at 9th and Cherry to look over a lot for a zone variance for a 4 plex unit for Orville Hamer. Mr. Meyers, representing the school district opened the question of new school site. The west side site they prefer is the existing city park. The idea was discussed to make a joint park and playground. A plan was loaned to the school board to see if the park land was feasable for such a project. It will be brought back at a. future date. Motion made by Jantzer, seconded by Noel to let Mr. Dysinger build a merry-go-Found in park for free if city furnishes the material. Carried Motion made by Bartley, seconded by King that Williams check into the loading zone laws and tie will try to adopt one at a future meeting.
