Central Point Planning Commission 27 February 1961
Members Present: Noel, Bartley, King, Lovejoy, Bruce
The meeting was opened at 7:42 P.M. by Chairman Dale Bartley.
Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved.
Mr. Porter who owns two acres on West Pine Street requested information
on building a trailer park on his property. Property is in zone one.
Motion made by Lovejoy, seconded by Noel that Dr. E. V. Chances'
petition for a doctors office at 525 South Second be accepted. Carried.
Mr. Whittle presented plan for addition to Watkins Home for aged on
South First St.
Motion by Lovejoy, seconded by Noel that plan for addition to Watkins
home for the aged be approved with alteration to keep door from opening
into alley. Carried.
Motion by Lovejoy, seconded by King that the following amendments to
ordinance 304 be recommended to city Council.
On corheir' lots the set back must be minimum_ 20!. from each street or to
conform to any existing buildings.
All houses must have subsiding a minimum of 3/$" plywood or 3/4" sheatt-i
ing or any type of sheatting that would stand the required F.H.A. rack
test.
a That any garage or accessory building may be built within 5' of alley.
Provided, however, that no door shall open into the alley area.
That all property lines be established to the satisfaction of the build-
ing inspector or in his absence the chairman of the planning commission.
That when any additional dwelling or accessory building be built , that
a minimum of 10 ft. be between them.
Letter read from V. of 0. concerning land use program in Ore. City,
Mr Alan Bishop requested information concerning available property
for the construction of a community center.
