Special Meeting Special Meeting
Members present--Bartley,Tonn,Noel,Bruce
0 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bartley.
The meeting was in regards to building to be constructed
behind the Legion Hall,Address-55 N. 5th.
After some discussion, a motion was made and seconded that
the Planning Commission waive. Public Hearing on Building
permit and approved permit. Subject to City Council's
approval.

Recommendation to the City Council
Nov. 30,1959
The Planning 6ommission hereby makes two recommendations to
' the City Councl�,>
1. We recommend that the Council conduct , or have conducted,
a survey in regard to our current water situation aad
future needs with the possibility of obtaining our own
system to relieve our dependence on Medford, and ;
2. We further recommend that the Council investigate the
Possibility of obtaining the Peter Kiewitt property,or
Other adjoining or available property, with the prospect
in mind of constructing our own sewage disposal system
(lagoon type) .

The meeting was opened at 7:35 P.M. by Chairman Dale Bartley. Minutes of
the last regular meetings and a special meeting were read and approved. ,
Bartley read a letter from Jackson County Planning Commission inviting _
all members to attend a meeting osi Wednesday,' December 9, 1959.
Under new business Lyle Paull reported that we should suggest to the
City Council inclusion in the budget the necessary money to 'take care
of developing and maintaining the new park. He also reported on the
current status of water supply and sewage disposal through the
Medford system. It seems that we ought to start planning somessystems
of :our own due to the fact Medford may have to shut off these services.
Harry Tonn agreed to survey the park situation and make recommendations
in regard to a budget.
Motion by Smock, 2nd Noels that we recommend to the City Council that
they conduct a survey in regard to the water situation. Carried.
Motion by Noel, 2nd Tonng that we recommend to the Council they
investigate the possibility of a' sewer system to the property of Peter
Kewittq or other adjoining or available property. Carried.
The Planning Commission agreed to have Paull pull the cottonwoods out
of the park.
The meeting wad adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
