Noel The meeting was opened at 7:30 P.R. by Mayor Freeman Mason, Dale Bartley was elected as Chairman of the Planning Commission as the first order of business , and John Smock was elected Secretary. Motion by Lovejoy, second by Noel, that the meeting be held at 7: 30 P.M. on the last Monday of the month. There being no further business , the meeting was adjourned at 0: 20P.M. Respectfully submitted, John Smock, Secretary Central Point Planning Commission Mon. ,Jan. 26, 1959 Regular Fleeting Members present Members absent Tonn Noel Bartley Lovejoy Smock Bianconi Guests : Freeman Masora, Don Turner, Lyle Paul!. The meeting was opened at 7: 52 P.M. by Chairman Dale Bartley. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Fire Chief,Don Turner asked that certain buildings in town be invest- igated by members of the Planning Commission to determine whether or not they should be condemned. Motion by Tonn, second Smock, that the Planning Commission investigate the buildings at 5th and Laurel, on Oak between 3rd and lath Sts . ,on Alder between 2nd and 3rd. Sts. and on No. 2nd St . between Pine and Manzanita, in regard to their condition in terms of fire hazards . Carried . Bartley and Tonn Will invest_oate. Lyle Paull explained a proposal in regard to a sewer line near John Cupp` s property. There was much discussion but no decision as a ' quorum was not present. Paull is to investigate the price of various sizes of pipe. Harry Tonn agreed to be Chairman of a committee to work on landscaping, and future plans , for the City Park at Haskell and Pine. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 P.M. Respectfully submitted , John Smock, Secretary
