HomeMy WebLinkAboutNovember 13, 1956 76' Central Point Planning Commission RAgular Meeting November 13 ,- 1956 Kincaid - present Lovejoy - absent Obenchain - present Dysinger - present Krupp - present Edwards - absent ' Noel - present The meeting was called to order by President Kincaid and roll call showed membership present as recorded above. 7,,Reading. of the minutes of the last meeting of September 10, 1956 was made and approved with notation of necessary correction of typographical deletion of worsing of paragraph 2; page 75. 3 No old business was presented . First new business to. come before the body was presentation by Mr. Claude Hoover of a preliminary self-drawn map of Roxy Subdivision. Inasmuch as the street. tentativly indicated as "Extention of Lotus Lanett, of the "Roxy Subdivision", also a tentative name, is shown as dead-ending at its eastern: extr&mity, discussion-by the .principal and. the Commissioners is resolved in a motion presented byCommissioner Noel. Moved that the principal, Mr'. Claude Hoover, does agree, that in the event of unsatifactory sale of the various plats in this sub- division and: should it develop that. no further. subdivision should be made which would. carry "Extention of Lotus Lane" farther eastward, this street shall be terminated in an acceptable turn-around, or shall be lihked -from its eastern end by a cross-road with such street or road 'as may provided in a parallel fashion in any subdivision of lands to the. north of Roxy Subdivision; before said "Extention of Lotus Lanett be accepted by the Hackson County,- Court as a dedicated ' road. 5' Motion was seconded by Commissioner Krupp, and was carried by unan- imois voice vote. Thereupon Commissicner Obenchain. offered a motion accepting condi- tionally "Preliminary Plat of Roxy Subdivision" which plat is makked "Exhibit A" of record meeting of 11/13/56, the motion worded thus : Moved that Mr. Claude Hoover' s preliminary plat if Roxy Subdivision be accepted for record, contingent upon acceptance by Mr. Hoover, or his assigns or heirs, of the motion by Commissioner Noel as previously recorded in these minutes, providing for termina- tion of. " Extention of Lotus Lane". Mr. Hoover, in person present, does accept and agree to this condition and Commissioner Krupp seconds the motion. Carried by unanimous voice vote. In other respects, the subdivision is acceptable to the Commission in accordance with its established standards. 9 Mr. Frank Bruce then requested information concerning procedure govern- ing issuance of permit for non-conforming use of land, in i:a ticular, proposed construction of apartment house in residential zone. Mr. Bruce was referred to Ordinance 304 and its provisions and re- quirements discussed with him. 8 No other business was presented to the meeting, and Commissioner Noel presented a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Commissioner Obenchain, and carried. $:45 P.M.
