Meeting valled to order at 7. 50 PM with those members as shown
above answering call. A quorum is present.
Reading of minutes of last regular meeting of July 11, 1955 was
called for and after reading the minutes the minutes were approved as
read without alteration or correction.
Old business was then called for and Mr. M. F. Hoover presented
final plat of Lotus Subdivision Extention No 1, which was found to be
in full accord with all requirements per se and accordingly, Commiss-
ioner. Joe Edwards moved that the Commission approve the final plat annd
authorize the Commission President and Secretary to affix their signi
tures as provided by law applying to such acts, Commissioner Bob Kincaid
seconded and the motion carried. - Signatures of the Commission President
and Secretary were duly gffixed, officially fixing approval pf said
Plat of Lotus Subdivision Extention :No. 1.
As to matters of new bisiness, Mr. Arden Pinkham conveyed a message
from the City Council relating general detail of plans of the Oregon
State Highway Commission to construct a freeway along the eastern edge
of the City, in particular their plans to provide for three crossings, ,
two of which would be located and constructed in the indefinite future
as required. It is the desire of the Common Council that the Flanning
Commission be cogniznat of the plan in concidering future development
of the area adjoining the eastern edge of the City.
A second item advised the Planning Commission that the Common Council
is investigating possibility of opening a second crossing over the
Southern Pacific Cols railroad tracks, and that further investigation
is required to resolve a choise of locations, or whether any at all is
feasible.
Motion to adjourn was made by Commissioners Oliver Obenchain,
second by Commisioner Joe Edwards, and carried. $:25 PM
