Krupp present L. L.-. Dysinger- present , Wm Askwith - . present The meeting was -called to order at 7:45 PM by acting president Wm. Askwith, so acting as a result of resignation on August 31, 1953 of elective president L. J. -Bigham. Minutes of the special meeting og August 10, 1953 , were immediatley called for, read, and approved as read without change. - New business was -then called for. The first item presented for discussion was a statement, supported by use data, that a sidewalk on the west side of North 3rd Street be recommended to the Common Council by the Commissiongrit being o£ considerable urgency, because of foot traffic on' 3rd Street. by students of Crater High School. After due discussion, all of it favorable, motion was made by Commissioner Krupp that the planning Commission recommend to the Common Council that concerted effort be made to provide a suitable sidewalk of approved construction, and without delay. Motion seconded by Commissioner Dysinger and carried by unanimous voice vote of all members present. No- other new business was presented, whereupon Mr. Bud M. Smith brought forth his surveyors preliminary plat of his sub-division, following in- substantial detail his tentative proposal as placed before the special meeting of the Planning Commission held -for that ' purpose on August 10, 1953 . Long discussion of problems peculiar to this plat, in particular street arrangements not completely satis- factory to the Commission, developedrno other possibilitt in street measurements, directions or locations. Therefore, motion was made by. Commissioner Kincaid and seconded, by Commissioner Dysinger, that the plat be approved as presented. Motion carsied.by unanimous vote of all members present. All . proposals presented, having been given diligent consideratin and having been disposed of in keeping with a s&nse of the best interests of the City, motion was made by Commissioner Krupp that the meeting adjourn.
