The meeting was callea .t,o order oy .Fresident Bignam
at 8:15 pm. Roll call of members showed, a quorum .present . ,
as recorded .above.Minutes. of the regular weeting ,of April
28,1952 were read and opened for questioii : Commissioiier
Waterm�in proposed tnat, time being the essence of closing
the matter or right-of way for extension of Oak, Street tnru
the Ed Sullivan property. The Planning Coyuni:a ion recommend
to the City Council that contract or, other legal proceedure
be entered into between the City. and Ed Sullivan to insure
the rig.at-of way to the C.1ty.. : Mr. YJa,t_ erman. then presented
this recommendation as a. motion, and seconded by Maier. The
motion carried by ,unanimous voice vote .
Discussion was then entered into concerning location
of Electric Service Poles on new subdivision, in ,particular
the YocQm Subdivision. Unanimous decision was reached that
tae proper development ,of a residential district re:,uires
that all electric- service be . piaced at the rear of the .res-
iaent.l, in other words, along -the alley or service street .
i'uture development of now open .area Eastward and .Westward of
Yocom Subdivision will make entirely :i;:gical tie .platement
of srevice . poles at the rear. of properties as snown-:according '
to tiie plat. It is the opinion•.of every member that any new
development- should properly proiide for electric service to
eliminate poles on streets. This matter was then tabled.

by Waterman tnat the meeting adjourn;; seconded by Edwards .
