Krupp - absent
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bigham at
8:05. Roll call showed a quorum present as recorded above.
Minutes of the regular meeting of January 28, and Special
meeting of Febuary 5 were read and approved without change
or addition.
Thereupon old business was called for.No old business
was on docket, but a discussion arose bringing forth ill-
uminating- discussion of street paving.Broad estimates
figured with a blunt pencil serve as an indication that
cost of sdewalks curbs and granite-oil mix paving would
be approximately 1 275,000 for the entire City.
New business then became the subject of- discussion.
A petition supporting a zoning change to permit construction
of a-Three unit multiple dwelling at 1030 Pine Street came
before the Commission. This is property of Carl Von Buskirk,
who has presented plans for his proposed project. Petitioners
whose signatures are affixed include all property owners with-
in a 300 ft. radius of 1030 Pine Street. This petition- does not
have attached thereto the written consent of any one of
adjoining property owners, as required by Section 1X, Ord-
inance No. 304. For this reason, and because the Commission
0 holds that there is question as to the ultimate benefit to the
City of this type of community develmentThe motion was made
by Waterman, seconded by Dysinger that the matter be tabled for
further study. The motion carried.
Other new business is the request by Mr. James Glenn that
a certain parcel of property of about 3/4 acre now outside the
City bot}ndary near the :East end of Constant Avenue be admitted
to the pity. Mtion made by Waterman ,seconded by Askwith, that
the Commission recommend to the Council their prompt acceptance
of this application. The motion carried. Parenthetically, it
should be stated that Mr. Glenn proposes to construct a residence
thereon if the plot is incorporated within the City.
There being no further business before the body,Waterman
moved the meeting be adjourned. 10:15 pm.
