HomeMy WebLinkAboutFebruary 1, 1980 Minutes February 1, 1980 Central Point Citizen' s Advisory Committee Meeting Central Point Council Chambers Continuation of Public Hearing from January 16, to review additional testimony from interested citizens regarding a Change in the Comprehensive Plan Map for an area bordered by Nest Pine Street, Haskell Street, Snowy Butte Road, and Griffin Creek. I. Meeting called to order by R.J. Ritchey for City of Central Point Planning Department at 7:35 p.m. In attendance were CAC Members: Grace Russell, Cliff Cordy, Edwin Gebhard and Aubrey Taylor. Also present were R.J. Ritchey Planning Director, Dave Kucera-City Administrator, Mike La Nier, Larry Denn, and Ron Hough from C.O.G. II. CAC Members present elected Grace Russell to serve as Chairperson for the Central Point Citizen's Advisory Committee; R.J. Ritchey was asked to keep minutes for this meeting. III. Public appearance portion of meeting called to order by Chairperson Russell at 7:45 p.m. There was no one from the audience to appear in opposition to the proposed change. Proposal was discussed by Staff & CAC Members & with Mike La Nier, repre- senting Larry Denn. The subject property had been designated as High Density by the CAC on their Final Comprehensive Land Use Map submitted to the City in 1973. A copy of this map was entered into the record by Mr. Edwin Gebhard. Mr. Ron Hough reported that COG was preparing a new Comprehensive land Use Map proposal that should be ready for presentation to the City within 3 weeks. All CAC Members will be notified when the new map is available for study. IV. After considerable discussion of the findings of fact that had been presented by the applicant and reviewed at the January 16;h meeting, Mr. Cordy moved, seconded by Gebhard that the CAC recommend to the City Planning Commission that the application to change the Comprehensive Plan Map from MD to HD for the subject property, be approved. Motion carried unanimously. V. Following a general review of CAC Policies and Procedures, and planning problems in general, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m. c: CAC Members r�
