I. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER at 7:00 p.m.
IL ROLL CALL - Those present were: Chuck Piland, (Jan Dunlap) Herb Farber,
Candy Fish, Randy Graves, Karolyne Johnson and Valerie Rapp. Jan Dunlap
and Karolyne Johnson had previously notified the Commission that they would
not be able to attend.
III. CORRESPONDENCE - None
IV. MINUTES
Commissioner Fish moved to approve the August 15, 1995 Planning
Commission Minutes. Commissioner seconded the Motion. ROLL CALL VOTE:
Farber, yes; Fish, abstain; Graves, yes and Rapp yes, and the Minutes were
approved.
AV. PUBLIC APPEARANCES - NONE
VI. BUSINESS
A. Public Hearing - Review and determination regarding amendment to
Conditional Use Permit for Hastings Furniture Company located at 150
N. Front (Applicant: John Hastings).
George Rubaloff, Planning Administrator, reviewed the Notice of Public
Hearing, dated August 10, 1995, including the Nature of Hearing,
Criteria for Decision, Public Comments, and Summary of Procedure.
Chairperson Piland opened the Public Hearing.
None of the Commissioners declared a conflict of interest or ex-parte
communication.
George Rubaloff reviewed the Planning Department Staff Report dated August
29, 1995, highlighting the Background, and incorporated the Letter from John
Hastings, Notice of Public Hearing, List of Owners, Assessor's Map, Approved
0 Site Plan, Resolution #272 (CUP) and the Planning Commission Minutes of
January 4, 1994 into the record by reference.

John Hastings, Applicant, 150 N. Front Street, Central Point, Oregon,
came forward in support of the amendment to the Conditional Use
Permit. He explained that he is in the process of making improvements
in the back of the property, and does not want to pave until these
improvements are completed.
No one else came forward in support of or in opposition to the Amendment.
Chairperson Piland closed the Public Hearing.
Commissioner Fish moved to approve Resolution # 8 amending the
Conditional Use Permit for Hastings Furniture Comfy located at 150
N. Front Street to extend the condition for paying an additional 18
months. (Applicant: John Hastings). Commissioner seconded the
Motion. ROLL CALL VOTE: Farber. yes: Fish ves: Graves, yes: and
Rapp. yes. and the Motion passed.
VII. MISCELLANEOUS - None

VIII. ADJOURNMENT - Commissioner Fish moved that the meeting adjourn,
Commissioner Farber seconded the Motion, and all said Aye, and the meeting
was adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
