The Planning Commission met in a special—called session to review the plans for the Grange Co—op alternations request of the loading dock area at their location at Pine Street and Rogue River Drive (Old 99)• Members present were Chairman Bowers, Banks, McManama, Wegs and Zieser. Also present were Mrs. Jo Funderburgh of the Medford Mail Tribune. After some discussion, Commission member Zieser asked what the present setbacks were as they were not shown on the plans. Chairman Bowers called C.P. Westwood, City Engineer, and got the following measurements from him: 1. 50 feet from the centerline of Pine Street to the dock. 2. 24 feet from the curb to the building. The motion for approval of the alterations of the Grange Co—op be granted with the provisions as stipulated herein: Item 1 — The said alterations be performed according to the uniform building code encompassing any and all regulations by the State Fire Marshallts Dept., and all city codes and recommendations of the City Engineer. Item 2 — The purpose of the alterations being to alleviate the traffic problem, it is stipulated the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that upon completion of the alterations the owner will not cause the blockage of traffic on West Pine Street. The above motion was made by Member Zieser; with all in favor, the motion carried—the plans stand approved. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
