The meeting was called to order .by Chairman Bowers at 7:30 P.M. Roll call by
Secretary Banks found all members present except,Mayes and Hull with one
vacancy.
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 17, 1973 were approved as written.
Minutes of a Special Meeting held April 25, 1973 on Greenbriar Terrace Mobile
Home Park on the matter of .the Recreation Building and Pool were approved as
written.
The first item on the Agenda was the multiple dwelling to be located at 4th
and Alder Streets for Central Point Development Co. , Mr. Ralph Bryant rep-
resented the developer. After some discussion, it was decided to hold a
review board meeting on this matter May 16, 1973 at 7:30 P.M.
The next order of business being a circular driveway at Freeman Road and
Grand Avenue for Mr. Lingren. On a motion by Don Banks, seconded by Ron
Zieser to grant approval of the circular driveway stipulating driveway can-
not encroach on the radius of Freeman Road. With all in favor, motion carried.
Next was the request for a retail store to be located at Second and Pine
Streets, Sentry Square Developers, Agent. After some discussion, it was '
decided to review this matter at the meeting of May 16, 1973 at 7:30 P.M. ,
also.
A request by the owner (Al Beck) of Shady Oak Trailer Court for three addi-
tional trailer spaces and new storage buildings throughout the park was before
the Planning Commission atithis time. A section of the Mobile Home Ordinance
was read by the Secretary which states that with any alteration, the Mobile
Home Park must be brought up to standard. On a motion by Member Bradshaw,
seconded by Member Damon to deny the application of Mr. Beck, the motion to
deny was carried with all in favor.
Next before the Commission were three annexations referrred from the City
Council. There was no information on lot numbers or applications by owners
on any of these properties available to the Planning Commission at this
meeting. Member Zieser made a motion that we ask for information as to the
property owners who are requesting these annexations and all pertinent infor-
mation thereto. Motion was seconded by Member McManama, and with an all in
favor, motion carried.
Chairman Bowers stated he has requested that the City Staff retain all plans
and information in City Holland copies can be mailed out with agendas to
the members; leaving the original documents in file.
Under "Committee Reports" Member Damon stated that the Subdivision Committee
had not had a meeting. Doreen Bradshaw reports she is still waiting for
Mobile Home Ordinances from Arizona and California and had no report at this
time. Member Banks stated he is checking zoning ordinances from other cities
and has no report at this time.
Chairman Bowers asked for the findings of the Van Wey' s Market Committee and
learned only two reports were ready.
Member Zieser made a motion to adjourn at 9:30 P.M. , seconded by Member
McManama and motion carried.
