HomeMy WebLinkAboutApril 17, 1973 I f Central Point Planning Commission April 17, 1973 The meeting of the Central Point Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Cal Bowers at 7:30 P.M. Members present were Mayes, Damon, Brad- shaw, McManama, Zieser and Banks. Absent were Hull and Dixon. Mr. Hull arrived at 7:55 P.M. Minutes of the March 20th Meeting were approved. First item of business was Mr. Al Beck of Shady Oaks Trailer Park request to build storage buildings at each trailer space and take out some old buildings and make three more trailer spaces. Chairman Bowers stated he was not sure if Mr. Beck could enlarge the trailer park under his existing Conditional Use Permit and suggested we table this for•further •study.' Member Zieser moved we table this for further .study, seconded,-by Member Mayes, motion carried. Next item presented by Chairman Bowers as an informal request for the owner at the corner of Freeman Road and Grand Avenue to build a circular driveway. It was brought out that on a corner lot requires- a 20-foot setback on each street. After some discussion, it was decided to table this matter until a formal request is presented. Next was the Committee Reports--Doreen Bradshaw gave a report on the Mobile Home Park Study. Discussion followed. No action taken. The Subdivision Committee Report was given by Jim Mayes. After some discussion, no action was taken. No report was available by the Zoning Committee as Don Banks has been out of town. Mr. Hull was appointed to replace Mr. Dixon to the Zoning -Committee as-Mr. Dixon has resigned from the Planning Commission. Mr. Zieser. asked if we could hire a consultant planner to advise us on changing our ordinances. Under "Miscellaneous Business" Chairman Bowers presented-a-letter and plans from Mr. Walter-Marquess to build' an enclosed recreation building of 5288 square feet with a swimming pool. On a motion by Mayes to table this until we receive a plan check report from Marquess &Marquess at' which time we will send to the Review Board, and seconded by Member Damon, the motion carried. (Greenbriar Terrace) Member Zieser made a motion to adjourn at 10:00 P.M. , seconded by McManama, the motion carried.
