Meeting held March 21, 1972
Meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Byron Backes. Those
present were Hull, McManama, Novasad, and Chairman Backes.
First on the Agenda was discussion of approximately 50 acres called Snowy
Butte Annexation. Motion made by Hull and seconded by McManama recommending
this annexation be submitted to the City Council. This property to come in
under our R-1-8 Zoning. Motion passed.
Mazama Subdivision plans were accepted per the recommendation of City Engineer
C. P. Westwood of Marquess & Marquess with the exception of the storm drains;
this portion to be discussed and be negotiated by the City and the Developer
to mutual satisfaction. Motion made by Hull, seconded by Novasad. Motion
passed.
The City Planning Commission next recommended that the Variance filed by
Federal Sign and Signal Corporation acting as agent for Rogue Valley Natural
Foods be allowed for a sign larger than Ordinance allows (24 square feet to
a 100 square feet double-faced sign) for the business location at 211 North
Front Street.
Discussion was opened regarding "sidewalk policy". It was agreed by everyone
present that a questionnaire be sent to all residents and citizens of Central
Point with the next mailing of the water bills to determine citizen interest
in this matter.
No further business to come before the Planning Commission at this time,
motion made by Novasad, seconded by McManama to adjourn. Meeting adjourned
at 10:00 P.M.
