Present: Backes, Langston, ;4eManama, Plcvosad, George, and Jantzer.
Meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Bill Langston. 1"inutes of the
Previous meeting were read and aprroved.
1 . PUBLIC HFARINO for re-amending zoning Ordinance to allow automotive
repairs and small engine reapirs as permitted use in C-2 zone.
Mr. Tucker explained the changes to be made. There was no one present to
oppose the change. As this had been d`.scussed at length at a previous
meeting, Ncvcsad made a motion to pass a recommendation for this change and
send it to the Council for their approval or disapproval. 2nd by Backes.
Motion Carried.
2. Mrs. Villie Germano was present, also the City Engineer, r. Townley,
to receive final approval of the plans of their Subdivision, to be known as
Pine Crest Sub-division, as they wish to start work on this at this time.
There has been no Sub-division agreement for this property;, but one must be
obtained before final approval is given. Backes made a motion to instruct
the City Attorney to draw up a Sub-division Agreement for signatures, to
assure that Sub-division requirements be met, to present to the Council.
2nd by McManama. Notion Carried.
?. Pre-Fab Homes. A lengthy discussion was held concerning this type of
building in the City. Ceorge Cilham explained the difference between Pre-
Fab. Homes and Modular Homes.
Items noted for special attention were, conforming to our building Code,
Safety, and exterior Design. Mr. Planasce, Councilman present, stated that
the Citizens should be protected by having a Certificate stating they are
in accordance with all our building Codes.
Jantzer made a motion to recommend to the Council to bring the building code
up to date, by the latest standards. 2nd by Novosad. ilotion Carried.
George Gilham recommended sending to the Universal Building Code Publications,
for literature on their most recent, requirements.
4. Possible rezoning of some C-4 zones to R-? zones. A. discussion on which
would be the most beneficial to the City.
Mr. Tucker asked, °Fdould the Planning Commission be i-nterested in rezoning
if it is going to mean more assessed valuation of the properties?" No action
to be taken at this time.
