REGULAR MEET ING
May 26, 1970
Present: Jantzer, Backes, Langston, McManama, and Novosad.
Meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Bill Langston.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting were read. A motion was made by McManama
to accent the minutes as read. 2nd by Jantzer. ,Motion Carried.
1 . PUBLIC HEARING. Irene Freeman, for Conditional Use Permit, for Home
Occupation. There was no one present to oppose this request. :A motion
was made by Novosad to allow this Conditional Use Permit. 2nd by Backes.
Motion carried.
Chairman Langston wished it noted here that he is opposed to this motion.
2. Regarding fees for Building Permits for Residences. Fees are now
charged by cost., of building as stated by the person obtaining the permit.
It vus decided there must be a base figure for assessing these charges.
Jantzer suerrested a figure of .$11 .50 per Sq. Ft. for the House; 13.00
per So. Ft. for the Garage; and 11 .50 per Sq. Ft. for a covered patio.
After a discussion of this subject, Jantzer made a motion to base building
permit fees for Residences on the Square Foot of the Structure, as stated
above. 2nd by Novosad. Motion Carried. '
3. Report of Special Committee for study of Central Point Zoning Ordinance,
Article III, Section 3.060, C-2 or Commercial Central District.
Recommended changes as follows:
Paragraph 2, Permitted Uses, Sub-paragraph b, item 10, to be changed to
read as follows:
10. Automobile Service Stations, Automotive repair, motor-bike
repair, and small engine repair (subject to Conditional Use
Permit in areas Fast of slid-First Street) . Heavy truck repair
to be limited to C-2 areas on Front Street.
Paragraph 2. Permitted Uses. Sub-paragraph b, add item 13 as follows:
13. New and Used car sales, boat, trailer, and mobile home sales.
Committee Alternate recommendations:
Rezone that portion of C-2 that lies East of Mid-First Street to C-3
and then include the two items above, excepting heavy truck repair,
under Conditional Use Permit in zone C-3.

the above items.

was made by Backes to allow Ir. Tucker to confer with Attorney Mansfield
on the wording of this resolution, ( 10 Z. 13) and refer to Council, then
return tc the Plannine Commission for further action. 2nd by Jantzer.
Motion Carried.
There be no further business, a motion was made by Novcsad to adjourn.
