In the absence of the Chairman, Sill Langston, the meeting was called to order by the Actinp Chairman, Ray Novesa.d. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Acting Secretary, Hen McManama. Minutes were approved as read. I . PUBLIC HF .RINC. Don D. Turner, S6 Freeman Road, rearrested a Conditional Use Permit to allow a small shop at the back of his residence for the sharpening and repair of small circular saws. There will be no annoying noise or dust from this occupation. There will be no sales. There was no one present to oppose this recuest. motion was made by Hull to accept this request and grant a Conditional Use Permit for this Occupation. 2nd by George. Motion Carried. 2. Mr, and Mrs. Edwin J. Freeman, 1,64 Bush Street, were present to recuest a conditional Use Permit tc allow a Home Cccupation for the sale of several small ite..r,s from their home. This would also include class instruction obcasionally, but would a:Ll be done in the living room of their home and would not affect the outward ap:earance of the residence. Some items mentioned were, Slim-Gym, Tri Chem, Mason Shoes, and Household Biodegradahl_e Cleaners. A motion was made by Hull to call for a Public Hearing on this request, with the date set for the next regular meeting of the Planning Commission, May 26, 1970. 2nd by George. Notion Carried. In reading the Zenin.,7 Crdinance concerning P.11owable Uses and Conditional Uses, it was decided to stud;; this Crdinance further to see if it might be too restrictive for the best interest o£ the City. A Coj:mittee was appointed to study the C-Zones and their allowable uses, either permitted or conditional, and report to the Planning Commission at a later time. This Committee,consists of Backes, Mcllanama and George. There being no further business, a motion was made by Hull to adjourn. 2nd by McManama. Motion Carried. 8:4 0 P.M. Ray Novosad, Secretary.
