HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1492ORDINANCE NO. 1492 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.16.040 OF THE CENTRAL POINT MUNICIPAL CODE CHARGES FOR SERVICES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3.16.040 of the Central Point Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows: 316.040 Fire Department Charges. The following charges shall be collected by the-Fire Department in the manner specified for the following described services: A. Office Services. 1. Copies of reports for insurance purposes. $5,.00 for the first page, $1 for each additional page. Payable in advance. 2. Open Burn Permits.. 3. Incinerator/Burn Barrel Permits. $25.00 commercial uses. No charge for residential use. Payable in advance. No charge. B. Fire Safety Inspections and Weed Notices. 1. Commercial-Industrial Fire Safety Inspec- tions. 2. Weed Notices.. First inspection, free; second inspec- tion, if problem uncorrected, $25.00; third inspection, if problem uncorrected, $25.00. Payable on billing. First notice, free; Payable on billing. second notice, if problem uncorrected, $25.00; third notice, if problem uncor- rected, $50.00. C. Alarms and Responses. 1. Water flow alarm activation or heat or smoke detector acti- vation without fire and without prior notice to Fire Dep'c. ORDINANCE NO, 1492 _1 First alarm, $100.00; second alarm within one year, $200.00; third alarm within one year, $400.00; fourth alarm within one year, $500.00. Billable to user. 2. Activation of any type of alarm caused by incorrect installation or maintenance, without prior notice. First alarm, $100.00; second alarm within one year, $200.00; third alarm within one year, $400.00; fourth alarm within one year, $500..00. Billable to alarm company. D. Any response for any cause to non-taxed private pro- perty, except that owned by persons or entities qualifying with the Internal Revenue as nonprofit organizations. $200.00 per engine hour; on medical alarms, $30.00 per non-transported patient, and $50.00 per transported patient (regardless of who provides transportation.). Payable by user on billing. E. Response to fire caused by stoves installed after April 1, 1978, without permit. $200.00 per engine. Payable by user hour. on billing> F. Response to an unpermitted open burn; incinerator/burn barrel operating without a permit; incinerator/burn barrel with a permit, but operating in non-compliance with burning regulations. 1. Unpermitted open burn; First response, Payable on billing. or incinerator/burn citation; second barrel operating without response, $25.00; a permit. third response within a calendar year, $100.00. 2. Incinerator/burn barrel First response, Payable on billing. with a permit, but $25.00; second res- operating in non- ponse within calen- compliance with burning dar year, $100..00. regulations. Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health anal safety of the City of Central Point, Oregon; based upon a need to implement this ordinance prior to the beginning of burn season on May 15, second reading is hereby waived, and an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance ORDINANCE NO. 1492 2 shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the Council and. approval by the Mayor.
