HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1509ORDINANCE N0. 1509 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR LIQUOR LICENSES WITHIN THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT WHEREAS, ORS Chapter 471 allows incorporated cities to recommend whether to grant or refuse a liquor license application within the City of Central Point, and WHEREAS, the City of Central Point may establish guidelines to be followed in making recommendations and may assess fees to pay expenses of processing recommendations of such application, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the. City to review and make recommendations on liquor license applications,. now, therefore, THE PEOPLE. OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: There is hereby added to the Central Point Municipal Code Title. 3, Revenue and Finance, Chapter 3.20, which is to read as follows:. REVENUE AND FINANCE Chapter 3.20 Liquor Licenses Section 3.20.010 Application. All initial and renewal applications for a liquor license submitted to the City shall be reviewed and a recommendation for approval or denial forwarded to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. Ordinance No. 1509 - 1 Section 3.20.020 Recommendation for Approval of License. Recommendations for approval of an initial or change in ownership liquor license shall be made by the City Council. Once an initial or change in ownership application has been approved by the City Council, said approval shall remain in effect until such time that it is revoked by the City Council. Upon application and payment of the fee hereinafter required for renewal, the City Administrator is authorized to certify to the O.L.C.C. the continued approval of said applicant. e~~~~~~ ~ ~n non n~~~TM~~~a-~___ r_u n_F____~ _r T___--- If the City Administrator makes a preliminary determination that a request for a liquor license should not be approved, the applicant shall be provided an opportunity for hearing before the City Council. After such hearing, the City Council may recommend to approve or refuse the application. A recommendation to refuse a license shall include rea- sonable grounds for such recommendation. Section 3..20.040 Fees. A fee shall be paid to the City of Central Point at such time that an applicant submits a request for a license; recommendation as follows: a. An initial license $ 25.00 b. A change in ownership license $ 25.00 c, A renewal or temporary license $ 15.00.
