A RESOLUTION APPROVING THAT FIRST AMENDMENT TO CITY OF CENTRAL POINT
TELECOMMUNICATIONS FRANCHISE AGREEMENT-HUNTER COMMUNICATIONS&
TECHNOLOGIES,INC. MICROTRENCHING AUTHORIZATION AND AUTHORIZING CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAME
RECITALS:
A. The City of Central Point and Hunter Communications, Inc. ("Hunter")are parties to
a Telecommunications Franchise Agreement dated January 24, 2014(the "Franchise
Agreement")granting Hunter a non-exclusive privilege to use the public rights-of-
way to construct and maintain telecommunications facilities within the corporate
limits of the City.
B. The parties desire to amend the Franchise Agreement to set forth provisions to
allow microtrenching within the City's rights-of-way.
THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.The Central Point City Council approves that First Amendment to City Of Central
Point Telecommunications Franchise Agreement—Hunter Communications&Technologies, Inc.
Microtrenching Authorization in the form attached hereto,and authorizes the City Manager, or
his designee,to execute same.
SECTION 2.This Resolution becomes effective immediately upon its passage.
Passed by the Council and signed by me in authentication of its passage this 23 day
of April,2026.
