HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Resolution 1218RESOLUTION NO. t 1$ A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1208 ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS OF CENTRAL POINT A MEASURE TO ABOLISH THE CITY'S TRAFFIC UTILITY FEE AND REPLACE IT WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL TAX" Recitals: A. On May 14, 2008, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 1208 to call a special election to abolish the traffic utility fee and replace it with a motor vehicle fuel tax. B. The City Council no longer desires to have a special election regarding this measure. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 1208 entitled ""A Resolution Calling a Special Election for the Purpose of Submitting to the Voters of Central Point a Measure to Abolish the City's Traffic Utility Fee and Replace it with a Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax" is repealed. SECTION 2. The City Recorder is instructed and directed to take any and all actions necessary to cancel the holding of the election on this measure. This resolution takes effect upon signing by the Mayor.
