A RESOLUTION APPROVING THAT BID FORM AND SALES AGREEMENT WITH OREGON
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAME
RECITALS:
A. The City has been maintaining the southern portion of the Bear Creek Greenway for
over 40-years, with particular emphasis since the 2020 fires.
B. ODOT has agreed to sell to City approximately 19.84 acres of land along the Bear Creek
Greenway.
C. The City desires to purchase said real property in order to allow the City to increase
its maintenance levels along this property, and to utilize a portion of the property in
the future as necessary for the planned Beebe Road extension project.
THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Central Point City Council approves that Bid Form and Sales Agreement with
Oregon Department of Transportation in the amount of $71,400.00 in the form attached hereto
as Exhibit “A”, and authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute same.
SECTION 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute any other documents
necessary to effectuate the terms of the agreement, including a Letter of Agreement which
would provide ODOT continued access to maintain a mitigation area adjacent to the subject
property until December 31, 2026.
SECTION 3. This Resolution becomes effective immediately upon its passage.
