A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RULES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON
EFFECTIVE JUNE 26 2025
Recitals:
A. The City Council is required, by Section 10 of the City Charter to adopt rules governing its
meetings.
B. It is established policy of the City Council of the City of Central Point, Oregon to review
and adopt the Rules of the City Council following a general election.
C. Council last amended its rules in January 2025. Council has directed a minor change to
its Order of Business to remove Agenda Building and include new rules regarding
requests by Council Members to place new items on the agenda.
The City of Central Point resolves as follows:
Section 1. Adopting Rules of City Council. The Rules of the City Council of Central Point, Oregon
are hereby adopted in their entirety to read as set forth in Exhibit 1, attached hereto, effective
June 26, 2025.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Resolution or any
resolution adopted or amended hereby, should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a
court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity
or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phase of this Resolution..
