AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A CONTIGUOUS AREA TO THE CITY OF
CENTRAL POINT, OREGON.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 105-3 , the City Council of Central
Point, Oregon, dispensed with an election within the City on the
question of the annexation of the hereinafter described territory
contiguous to the said City, and fixed July 11, 1972, at 8:00
o'clock p.m. , in the City Hall of said City as the time and place
for a public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the notice of time and place of hearing was given by
publication thereof in a newspaper of general circulation, and by
posting said notice in four public places in said City for a like
period of time; and
WHEREAS, at said time and place the registered voters of the
City of Central Point were given an opportunity to appear and be
heard, and prior to the time of said public hearing the owners of
all the real property proposed to be annexed consented in writing
to the said annexation and filed the same with the City Council;
now, therefore,
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following described tract, contiguous to the
City of Central Point, in Jackson County, Oregon, to-wit:
PARCEL 1: Beginning at a point on the West line of Donation
Land Claim No. 56 in Township 37 South, Range 2 West of the
Williamette Meridian in Jackson County, Oregon, said point
beginning 8. 83 chains south of the northwest corner of said
claim; thence east 220 .0 feet, thence south 120 .0 feet,
thence 220 .0 feet to the west line of said claim,thence
north along said line, 120 .0 feet to the point of beginning.

PARCEL 2 : All that part of the following described property
lying Westerly of Interstate 5 Highway:
BEGINNING at a point on the West boundary line of D .L.C. 56
in Township 37 South of Range 2 West of the W.M. , 8 . 83 chains
South of the Northwest corner of said Claim, and running thence
East 37 .10 chains to the division line between the East and
West Half of said claim; thence South along the said line,
8. 76 chains ; thence West 37 .12 chains to the West boundary line
of said Claim; thence North along said line , 8. 76 chains to
the place of beginning.
EXCEPTING THE FOLLOWING:
BEGINNING at a point on the West boundary line of D .L.C . 56,
Township 37 South, Range 2 West of the W.M. in Oregon, 8. 83
chains South of the Northwest corner of said claim for place
of beginning; thence East 220 feet; thence South 120 feet;
thence West 220 feet; thence North 120 feet to the place of
beginning. 1 Acre.
ALSO EXCEPTING THE FOLLOWING:
BEGINNING at a point on the West boundary line of D .L.C. No.
56 , in Township 37 South, Range 2 West of the W.M. in
Jackson County, Oregon, said point being 17.59 chains South
of the Northwest corner of said Claim; thence East 408.0 feet;
thence North 160 .0 feet; thence West 408 .0 feet; thence South
160 .0 feet to the place of beginning.
PARCEL 3: Tract B: Commencing at the northwest corner of
Donation Land Claim #56 in Township 37 South, Range 2 West of
the Williamette Meridian in Jackson County, Oregon, thence
South 0°02 ' 30 " West, along the west line of said Claim,
582 .78 feet, thence North 89°54' 40 " East, parallel with the north
boundary of said Claim, 30 .0 feet to a 3/4" iron bolt located
on the east boundary of Freeman Road, for the true point of
beginning; thence continue North 89°54 ' 40 " East 716 . 49 feet;
thence North 0°02 ' 30 " East 235 . 61 feet; thence South 89°53 ' 50"
West 716 .49 feet to the east boundary of said Freeman Road;
thence South 0°02 ' 30 " West, along said boundary, 234 . 44 feet
to the true point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM that
portion conveyed to the State of Oregon (by and through its
State Highway Commission) by deed recorded in Volume 474 page
228 of the Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon. Also,
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the following: Commencing at the north-
west corner of Donation Land Claim #56 Township 37 South,
Range 2 West of the Williamette Meridian in Jackson County,
Oregon, thence South 0°02 ' 30" West, along the west line of
said Claim, 113 .90 feet, thence North 89°53 '00 " East 30 .0
feet to the intersection of the east line of Freeman Road
with the south line of Head Road for the true point of be-
ginning; thence South 0°02 ' 30" West, along the west line of
said Freeman Road, 270 .44 feet; thence North 89°53 ' 00 "

East 200 .0 feet; thence North 0°02 ' 30 " East 35 .95 feet to
an angle point on the westerly right-of-way line of Inter-
state Highway No. 5 (where said angle point intersects the
south line of tract described in Volume 435 page 471 of the
Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon) ; thence North
40°29 '10 " West, along said right-of-way line of Interstate
Highway No. 5 , a distance of 307 .77 feet to the true point
of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby _proclaimed to be annexed to the said City.
SECTION 2 . The City Recorder is hereby directed to make and
submit to the Secretary of the State of Oregon, a copy of this Ordi-
nance, a copy of the statement of consent from the land owners of
the tract annexed, and a copy of Ordinance No. /0. 3, dispensing
with the election on the proposed annexation; and the City Recorder
is further directed to certify and submit a copy of this Ordinance
to the County Assessor and the County Clerk of Jackson County, Oregon,
within ten days thereafter.
