HomeMy WebLinkAboutApproval Conditions Public Works PermitApproval of this Public Works Permit is based on adherence to the following conditions: Public Works Permit Conditions of Approval: 1 All work shall be in accordance with the City of Central Point Standards and Specifications for Public Works Construction. Jump plates with plated locks must be used and re-paving must occur within 10 working days after job completion in accordance with condition of approval (5) below. Re-paving must include re- establishment of all street markings that were removed or disturbed during work (i.e. emblems, hot tape, and striping). These must be re-established to City standards. 2 Contractor shall provide traffic control at all times in accordance with the ODOT Short Term Traffic Control Handbook, 1996 and Pact VI MVTCD, 1988 and a traffic control plan must be submitted with the permit request. 3 Clear vision areas shall be established at intersections of streets, alleys and driveways in accordance with Table J-2, Drawing A-4. No obstruction greater than 3.5 feet in height shall be allowed other than existing trimmed trees or power poles. 4 Trench excavations shall be saw cut and backfilled with 1 sack cement/sand slurry. Prior to paving, slurry shall be excavated and trimmed to a solid surface at or below depth of asphalt. No paving shall be installed on loose material. 5 Repave trench with ODOT Class ā€œCā€ asphaltic concrete according to ODOT 745.48 and 745.49. Required to patch a minimum of 6 inches on both sides of trench. 6 Appropriate stormwater pollution controls (BMPs) shall be implemented to prevent debris, dirt, petroleum products, cement washout, paint, or any hazardous materials from being washed into the stormdrain system. 7 All concrete equipment must be washed into a contained concrete washout. Tile cutters, pipe cutters, and concrete/grout pumps must have a tarp or other protective material placed under the equipment to collect cuttings, dust or spills. Waste materials shall be properly disposed of and not washed into the stormdrain system. 8 Any saw cutting of concrete or asphalt in the City right-of-way must be vacuumed or swept up so that the dust will not enter the stormdrains. 9 Pollutants entering the stormdrains are considered an illicit discharge and can be a fine up to $1,000 per day, CP Municipal Code 8.05.05. 10 Provide 72 hours prior to beginning construction. 11 Call Public Works to schedule an inspection at least 24 hours prior to paving at 541.664.7602.
