A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF 0.70 ACRES OF LAND
LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OFHAMRICK AND BEEBE ROADS
INTO THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT,
OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Application has been made by the owners of certain real property for
annexation into the City of Central Point, Oregon. The property consists of one tax lot and
road right-of-way totaling approximately 0.50 acres. The property to be annexed is more
particularly described as follows:
All that certain real property as described in Document Number 92-37005, as recorded in
the Official Records of Jackson County, Oregon, and portions of Hamrick Road and
Beebe Road, public roads, located within Donation Land Claim No. 55, in the Southwest
One-quarter of the Northwest One-quarter of Section 1, Township 37 South, Range 2
West of the Willamette Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon, being more particulazly
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Donation Land Claim Number 55, in said
Township,- Range and Meridian; thence along the centerline of Hamrick Road North
00°13'55" West, 1215.72 feet to the True Point of Beginning; continuing along said
centerline North 00°13'55" West, 197.58 feet to the centerline of Beebe Road, a public
road, and the City Limits line to the City of Central Point; thence along the last said
centerline and City Limits line, North 89°37'08" East, 154.47 feet; thence leaving said
centerline, South 00° 10'20" East, along the east boundary of said tract of land described
in said Document Number 92-37005, and the extension thereof, and along said City
Limits line, 197.57 feet to the south boundary of said tract; thence along said south
boundary, and the extension thereof, and along said City Limits line, South 89°37'00"
West, a distance of 154.27 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
The above described property is not within the City of Central Point's
Current corporate boundaries, but is contiguous to the City's existing corporate boundary
and is within the Central Point Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
Section 2. The owners of the property proposed for annexation are Forrest Young
and Lois Taylor, and there is mutual consent to the annexation. Such written consent is on
file at Central Point City Hall, 155 South Second Street, Central Point, Oregon.
Section 3.ORS 222.125 provides that when all of the owners of land in the territory
proposed for annexation and not less than 50% of the electors residing in such territory
have consented in writing to the annexation of the land in the territory and file such written
consent with the City Council, the property may be annexed without the requirement for an
election or a public hearing.
Section 4. Annexation of the described property is consistent with the City's ability
to provide facilities and services to the real property, as required by the City's
Comprehensive Plan.
Section 5. Pursuant to ORS 222.125, the property described in Section 1 above,
shall be and hereby is, annexed to and made part of the City of Central Point, Oregon.
Section 6. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Oregon Secretary of State, and this annexation shall be effective when
filed with the Oregon Secretary of State pursuant to ORS. 222.180.
