Recitals
This matter came before the Planning Cozn~nission for hearing on March 1~1, 2001, on
applicant's application for a variance. Applicant requested that the Planning Commission modify
a previously approved Planned Unit Development, moving the 100-year floodplain fz•om the whole
development to its boundaries as indicated on the Federal Emergency Managez~zent Agency, FIoad
Insurance Rate Maps. The Planning Commissionz reviewed the application a~ld the City staff reports,
and received comments from all persons wishing to be heard in favor of and opposed to the
application.
Now, therefore;
BF, IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CI`I"Y OF CENTRAL
POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Criteria Applicable to Decision. The fallowing chapters of the Central Point
Municipal Code apply to this application:
A. Chapter 8.24; Flood Damage and Hazard Mitigation
B. Chapter 17.68, Planned Unit Developments
C. Chapter 17.12, Final Plats
Section 2. Findings and Conclusions. The Planning Commission hereby adopts by
reference aI1 finding of fact set faith in the City staff reports, and concludes that applicant has
demonstrated compliance with the requirements of CPMC Chapter 8.24, pertaining to flood
mitigation.
Section 3. Modification Granted. Appliance is hereby granted approval for the requested
modification consisting of moving the 100-year floodplain to what is indicated on the FEMA Fload
Insurance Rate Maps. Lots 7, I2, 13, 20 and 21 in Phase lofthe Griffin Oaks Subdivision Unit 1 are
not considered in tl~ie 100 year floodplain of Griffin Creek. Attachment "A"
