A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE

Recitals
This matter cat~nebefore the Planning Commission for hearing on August 5, 2003, on applicant's
application for a variance. Applicant requested a fence variance at Jewett Eleme~itary School. The Pla~u~ing
Commission reviewed the application and the City staff reports, and received comments from all persons
wishing to be heard in favor of and opposed to the application.
Now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL
POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Criteria ARplica6le to Decision. The following chapters of the Central Point
Municipal Cade apply to this application:
A. Chapter 15.20, Fences
B. Chapter 17.$0, Variances.
Section 2. Findings and Conclusions. The Planning Commission hereby adopts by reference
all f nding of fact set forth in the City staff reports, and concludes that applicant has demonstrated
compliance with the requirements of CPMC Chapter 17.50, pertaining to variances.
Section 3. Variance Granted. Appliance is hereby granted approval for the requested variance
consisting of the use of three strands of barb wire, along the top of chain link fencing surrounding the
maintenance facility adj acent to Jewett Elementary School to provide additional security to equipment, with
the condition that the two eight foot sections of barbed wire nearest the playground fence be removed .
