Roll call found: Bigham, Chisum,Colley, ' Patterson The & Saxbury present, with Setness absent due to illness. minutes of the meeting were read and a motion was previous made by Saxbury, second by Chisum that the minutes be approved. Motion carried. The following bills were referred to the Council for audit. The City Recorder was instructed to draw warrants for the bills upon the proper funds. (const. Acct.) 25.158.33 Total $31,462.41 A report was made by the Recorder regarding the tearing down of the old buildings that were condemned by the Planning Commission. Letters have been written, with no answers received at this time. Mr. D.F. Perkins came to the Council with a complaint about the dogs running loose in town, and requesting the council to take ' action to control them. A letter from Judi Parker was received and read. The Council instructed the Recorder to write a letter to Judi thanking her for her work and expressing a willingness to give a letter of re- commendation. The Recorder read a letter from the Ore. State Highway Dept. regarding a new working agreement for the reconstruction of Oak St. The existing sewer line being too close to the surface to allow the State to fix Bigham Drive. Sh Ordinance Repealing Ord. #485 was read by Mr. Blackhurst. Motion was made by Colley, Second by Saxbury, the motion be adopted. Roll call vote: Ayes: Bigham, Chisum, Colley, Patterson, Saxbury. Ordinance #488 was read by Mr. Blackhurst approving the Oak St. re- construction by the Ore. State Hwy. Dept. A motion made by Colley, second by Bigham that the Ord. be adopted. Ayes: Bigham, Chisum, Colley, Patterson, Saxbury. Nays: none. Ord. #488 approved and adopted. D.D. Turner, Fire Chief, came to the Council with a request for an Ordinance requiring incinerators to be built according to certain specifications. These incinerators would be used in the Commercial ' Zone. Approved by the City. The Council approved such an Ordinance and Mr. Turner was instructed to work out details with Mr. Blackhurst: Mr. Pirky came to the Council to present diffcerence in costs in the different types of asphalt covering. Also regarding curbs on Grand Ave. Mr. Blackhurst discussed with the Council a new Ord. setting up the office of City Administrator. Mayor Mason appointed Les Bigham and Don Patterson as a Police Committee to work with ' the Administrator: A letter was read from Mr. McGoodwin regarding a proposed meeting with the Elk City Water Dist., to discuss the possibility of getting water for the expanding City needs. The Recorder was instructed to work out a meeting date and notify the Council. A motion was made by Saxbury, second by Patterson that the meet- ing be adjourned until 7:30 P.M., March 10, 1059, at which time C the meeting will be reopened for the purpose of accepting bids for the improvement Bonds Series #2.
