HomeMy WebLinkAboutCM 042159Note: The minutes of the April 14 1959 meeting on Page 400 Central Point, Oregon City Halms April 21,1959 The Common Council met in adjourned session with Mayor Mas&n presiding The purpose of the meeting was the approval of the Plans and Specs ' for a new City Hall. A motion was made by Colley,second by Chisum, that we approve the Plans and let bids for the proposed City Hall as soon as possible. Motion carried. At 8:OOP.M.: Mr. Flanagin, Mr. Taylor and Mrs. ,of the Elk City Water District, met with the Council to discuss the possibilities of Central Point purchasing water from the Elk District. Mr. Flanagin ;�. read a letter that was drawn at the time of the adoption of the Elk City District. The contract offered Central Point at that time, was th, privilege of transporting a maximum of 1000 gallons per minute through the mains. Q The total cost of the construction would be approximately $187,000.00 C- 3.59 % interest. The Central Point share of the construction cost would have been $39,746.00. If the city would care to connect at this time, they could pay $39,746.00 plus interest from the time of construction until the present. The city would have the right to connect on to the line at any convenient place. The Elk City District would give the City a twenty-five year ' assessment free contract.
