The Common Council met in adjourned regular session with Mayor
Mason presiding. Roll call found: Bigham,Chisum,Colley,Patterson,
Saxbury, Setness present. None absent.
Don Miller came to the Council with a report of the anticipated
recreation program. The program will be very similar to last year
and will include special events on Fridays. Special events will
include: pet parade, bike trip, fish derby, and others. This will
be an eight weeks program.
The Council worked on a Budget for the coming fiscal year. We adjourned
at 11:50 P.M. with a meeting set for May 28,1959, to meet with the
Budget Committee for final adoption of the budget.
Meeting adjourned.

Fire Hall Central Point, Oregon May 28,1959
The Common Council met in adjourned regular session for the purpose of
working with the Budget Committee for completion of a Budget for the
coming fiscal year 1959-1960:
Rollie Yocom was nominated for Chairman of the Budget committee. A
motion was made by Panter that nominations be closed. Motion carried
and Rollie Yocom was declared to be the Chairman by unanimous ballot.
Wendell Panter was nominated fonthe Secretary. A motion was :rade by
Chisum,second by Bartley, that nominations be closed. Motion carried
and Wendall Panter was declared unanimously elected. The Council
adjourned to reconvene following the Budget Committee meeting.
10:30 P.M. ---The Common Council reconvened following adjournment of the
Budget Committee meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to approve
the Budget as adopted by the Budget Committee. The amount of the levy
is $36,114.00.
A motion was made by Chisum,second by Saxbury the Budget be adopted,
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Patterson,second by Saxbury that the meeting be
adjourned. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned. '' ,n
