Roll call found: Ayers, Bigham, Colley, Patterson and Saxbury,present. Chisum,absent. The purpose of the meeting was to open bids for proposed construction on South Second -Pine to Bush, Hazel -Third to Tenth7First Street - Pine to Oak, Third Street -Pine to Oak. The bids opened for Hazel Street -Third to Tenth were for the excava- tion, grading, and construction of curbs and asphaltic paving. The bids opened were as follows: M.C. Lininger & Sons $21,724.80 Hughes and Dodd 22,044.70 R & M Construction Co. 22,128.20 R & M Construction Co. entered an alternate bid of $3.45 per Yd. for crushed rock instead of creek run and granite. No quantities were listed. The bids for the excavation,grading, construction of curbs and asphaltic paving on South First were opened as follows: M.C. Lininger & Sons $ 3888.00 Hughes and Dodd 3,,987.35 R & M Construction Co. 4,222.40 R & M Construction entered and alternate bid of $3.45 per yard for crushed rock instead of creek run and granite. Lininger & Sons $2,571.35 Hughes and Dodd 2,725.95 R & M Construction Co. 3,060.50 The bids were opened for the Paving of South Second,Pine to Bush as follows: Rogue River Paving $9,262.20 T.R. FloreyPaving 12,924.00 The Council studied the bids submitted and instructed the attorney to draw up Ordinances for accepting and authorizing construction. The apparent best bids were as follows: South Second Rogue River Paving $9,262.20 Hazel Street M.C. Lininger & Sons 21,724.80 South let. M.C. Lininger & Sons 3688.00 , Third Street MC. Lininger & Sons 2,571.35• There being no further business, a motion was made by Patterson, second by Saxbury that the meeting be adjourned ?:to the call of the Mayor.
