Common Council met in adjourned regular session with mayor
Mason presiding. Roll call found: Ayres,Bigham,Chisum,Colkey,
Patterson and Saxbury. Absent: none.

of 25 years of service as City Treasurer
Point, the Council Mrs Edward Jones
of the City of

presented
with a cake
and a
coffee reception. Mr. Jones was overwhelmed
with the sur-
prise.
Mayor Mason gave a short message to Mr. Jones thanking him for his
25 years of health and work. Mr. Jones chocked with emotion, thank-
ed the Mayor and Council for the party and then told of various
changes that have taken place since he came to the Citic..
Mr. Mason read the insurance polices presented to the Council in
the form of bids. A motion was made by Patterson,second by Ayres,
that the Mayor appoint a committee to compare the policies and
evaluate the policies that they might be awarded on that basis.
Motion carried.
Colley and Patterson were appointed by the Mayor to study and report,
after the Mayor had read the bids for the Public Liability and Property
Insurance.
A motion was made by Ayres, second by Chistm that we call for bids
on the 1956 Police car. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Patterson,second by Bigham that the ward boundaries
by changed to coincide with the precinct boundaries. Motion carried. '
The Council requested the attorney to draw an Ordinance ad6pting
the State Motor Vehicle Code and recommended minimum bail schedule.
A motion was made by Bigham,second by Ayres that Mr. -�tratton be
notified that he no longer is agent of record of the City of Central
Point. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Colley, second by Patterson, that the
recommendations of the committee studying the insurance bids
be approved, and the bids of Paul Hornbeck be approved for
Comprehensive Liability Policy and also that the City increase
the leabi;ity insurance to $100,000; $300,000; $50,000;
$50,000. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Colley,second by Patterson that the
reEommendation of the committee studying the insurance
that the bid of Paul Hornbeck be accepted for the Volunteer
Firemen Insurance. Motion carried.
Ordinance #555 was ready by Mayor Mason, this being an
Ordinance directing the recorder to call for bids for
excavation, construc tion of curbs and asphaltic concrete
on Oak Street -Front to 7th Street. Roll call vote: Ayes;
Ayres, Bigham, Chisum, Colley, Patterson, Saxbury.
Nayes; none. Qrdinance #555 duly adopted.
A motion was made by Saxbury,second by Patterson the meeting
be adjourned to the call of the Mayor or until the next regular
meeting. Motion carried.
