CITY OF CENTRAL POINT CITY HALL December 6,1960
The Common Council met in regular session with Acting Mayor Bigham. presiding.
Roll call found: Present; Ayres, High=, Colley, Kelly, Saxbury. Absent;
Mayor Mason and Councilman Patterson.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and a motion was made by
Colley second by Kelly that the minutes be approved.
The bills were presented to the Council. The Recorder was instructed
to draw warrants on the proper funds.

A report was made and discussion of the Planning Commission report on tear-
ing down the grandstand at the Ball Park. It was decided to meet with the
Planning Committee to discuss the matter further.
The Council discussed the matter of cleaning up various lots in the City.
A motion was made by Saxbury,second Kelly, that letters be sent to des-
ignated parties in the City who have unsightly things in their yards, re-
questing them to clean up, and that further action will be taken to cause
it to be cleaned by the City at the residents expense as provided in Ord.497,
with a time limit to be allowed for the fulfillment of this request. Motion
carried.
Ordinance ^67was read, this being an Ordinance for an official stop sign
at the Northeast corner and at the Southwest corner of the intersection of Oak
Street and Second Street. The signs being placed on Oak Street. A motion was
made by Ayres, second by Saxbury that the Ordinance be adopted. Roll call:
Ayes: Ayres, Kelly, Nayes: Colley and Saxbury. Acting Mayor Bigham voted
in the affirmative. Motion carried.
A discussion of the matter of controlling traffic was discussed and it was re -
commended that the Planning Commission make a study and a joint meeting be held
to work out final plans.
Ordinance #568 was read, this being an ordinance combining the improvement
funds for the improvement of paving and curbs on Sou.h Second street between
Pine and Bush Streets.

Kelly,Saxbury; Ayes, Motion carried. Ordinance No. 569 duly adopted.
Ordinance No. 570 was read, this being an Ordinance spreading assessments on
Oak Street(Front to 7th )., A motion was made by Colley,
second by Kelly that the Ordinance be approved. Moll call: Ayres,
Colley, Kelly,Saxbury;Ayes. !lotion carried. Ordinance No.570 duly adopted.
Ordinance No. 571 was read, this being an Ordinance, spreading assessments
on South First Street(Pine to Oak) A motion was made by Ayres, second by
Kelly that the Ordinance be adopted. [toll call: Ayres,Colley, Kelly,
Saxbury; Ayes. Motion carried. Ordinance No. 571 duly adopted.
Ordinance No. 572 was read, this being an Ordinance spreading assessments
for South Third 9 reet(Pine to Oak). A motion was made by Saxbury,second
Ayres that the Ordinance be adopted. Roll call: Ayes; Ayres, Colley,Kelly,
Saxbury. Ordinance NO. 572 adopted.
Ordinance No. 573 was read, this being an Ordinance spreading assessments
on South Second Street(Pine to Bush). A motion was made by Colley,second by
Kelly, that the Ordinance be adopted. Roll call: "yes; Ayres, Colley,
Kelly,Saxbury. Ordinance No. 573 adopted.
A motion was made by Kelly,second Saxbury that the meeting be adjourned
' to the call of the Mayor. Motion carried.
