HomeMy WebLinkAboutCM 112160490 CITY OF CENTRAL POINT Ci y Hall November 21,1960 The Common Council met in regular session with Mayor Mason presiding, Roll call found: present; Ayres, Bigham, Colley, Kelly, Absent; Patterson and Saxbury. Purpose of the meeting was to approve the tabulation of votes in the election of November 8,1960. The tabulations were received from the Jackson County Clerk's office, since the City nominees were included on the County ballot. For Mayor: F.W. Faber -----________________445 For Councilmen -4th Ward --vote for 1: Bay Britt0n__—____________________149 e Calvin Bowers ---------- --- _—_ 65 n Write—in votes may be found on the official tabulation sheet in the Election file, A bill feom Clark and Groff for the water survey was presented. A motion by Les Bigham, second by Kelly that the bill of Clark and Groff for the water survey be approved in the amount. of $1,475.00. Motion carried. The Council having checked the ballot sheet as presented by the Jackson County Clerk's office was checked by the Mayor and Councilmen present. A motion was made by Colley,second by Ayres, that the ballots be approved and the Recorder be instructed to file the official copy in the City Records. Motion carried. A motion was made by Colley,second by Ayres that the renewal application of Paulsen Gates Market be accepted. ,Motion carried. A motion was made by Colley,second by Ayres that the renewal application of the Corner Club be approved. Motion carried. A motion was made by Ayres,second by Colley, that an Ordinance be drawn causing traffic to stop on Oak at South Second. Motion carried. A motion was made by Ayres, second by Colley a bid price of $425,00 be accepted for the 1956 Ford police car. Motion carried.
