A request was made by Randy Cavin and Jodi Van horn for permission
to construct a telegraph line between their homes, as a Science
project.
A motion was made by Saxbury;second by Ayres that Randy Cavin and
Jodi Van Horn be permitted to construct a U14graph line between
their residences, and that said line should be taken down before the
end of school this year. Motion carried.
Mr. Teets and Mr. George Johnson came to, the Council with complaints
regards sidewalks on South Second Street. The Council explained .that
the sidewalks were located where the Council had authorized them to be.
A report was made regardig the noise of Kimbrell's trucks on Chestnut
Street. Only one complaint within the past 30 days. Mr, Kimbrell
was contacted by the Police and warned to refrain from further dis-
turbances.

A letter from the Planning Commission stated that they felt the
grandstand at the ball park should be'%tln down. The Council
approved.
' A motion was made by Ayres, second by Colley that the additional
bills for the additional improvements for the new City Hall and
the jail be approved. The amount was $1,395.83. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Patterson, second by Kelly that the recommend—
ation of the Planning Commission to refuse the use of a trailer house for
a commercial building on Pine Street at First should be sustained
and the permission for the trailer refused. Motion carried.
t" John Gallucci presented his request for a renewal of his liquor
license. A motion was made by Ayres,second by Saxbury, that approval
be granted to Mr. Gallucci for the license. Motion carried.

Ordinance x{567 was read by the Recorder. This being an ordinance
providing for the retention of certain records and the disposal of
others.
A motion was made by Pattersmysecond by Kelly that Ordinance #567
be approved. Roll call: Ayes; Ayres, Bigham, Colley, Kelly,
Patterson, and Saxbury. Noyes; none. Ord. #567 declared duly adopted.
A request to the Council by Mr. Charles Meyer,Superintendent,
of the Central Point schools to establish 2 hour parking between the
Oscar Swanson property and Hazel Street on the west aide of North
Second was rejected by the Council, with a motion by Kelly,second
by Saxbury. Motion carried.
A request from the Foster & Kleiser Company to install a poster
panel (billboard) on the Grange Coop property against the south
side of the warehouse at 30 S. Front "a granted by a motion from
Saxbury, second by Ayres, Motion carried.
N motion was made by Kelly,second by Colley, the meeting be adjourned
I to the call of the Mayor. Motion carried.
l\A report was made by the Recorder on the completion of Oak Steet project.
The Council authorized the Recorder to issue a protested warrant for the
amount of the project.
