a AGREEMENT FOR ELECTRICAL INSPECTIONS
CITY OF CENTRAL POINT; BUILDING DEPARTMENT
This agreement made and entered into by and between the City of Central Point, Oregon, a
municipal corporation, hereafter referred to as "City"; and Craig R. Batesole, hereafter referred
to as "Inspector"; for the provision of electrical inspection services in the City of Central point,
Oregon.
1. Term of Aereement. This agreement shall be effective January 1, 2011, and may be
terminated by either party upon 60 days' written notice. The term of this agreement is
for two (2) years and it may be renewed for an additional two (2) year term, followed by
a yearly renewal thereafter, with the consent of both parties.
2. Services Provided by Inspector. Inspector agrees to perform all necessary electrical
inspections in the City of Central Point, as an independent contractor. Specifically,
Inspector agrees to:
(a) Maintain a State of Oregon "A" level electrical inspector's license, along with any
and all insurance coverage as required by the State of Oregon Building Codes
Division;
(b) Call City by 11:00 a.m. each business day to receive the list of inspections scheduled
for that day. Perform electrical inspections Monday -Friday between the hours of
7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. upon request of City. Contractors need not be present at the
job at the time of the inspection unless deemed necessary by inspector;
(c) Be available one hour each working day for the purpose of providing code
interpretation, answering code-related questions, and providing miscellaneous
public service. This requirement may be satisfied by personal visits to City's Building
Department, or by being available by telephone;
(d) Provide timely electrical plan check when required or needed; and
(e) Maintain accurate electrical inspection records for permit processing and monthly
billing purposes;
(f) Provide aback-up inspector with equal certification, who will be approved by the
City Building Official.
3. Citv's Duties. City agrees to:
(a) Accept electrical permit applications at Central Point City Hall and provide copies of
all permits taken out for the inspector;
(b) Provide inspector with all necessary forms;
(c) Provide for inspector's use a 24-hour voice mail and fax service for inspection
requests to be checked periodically each working day by inspector.

4. Compensation. In consideration of services rendered, City shall pay to inspector, on a
monthly basis, a sum of $500 for the first 30 inspections, with additional compensation
of $20 per inspection thereafter. Plan review fees collected by the City shall be paid
60% to inspector and 40% to the City. Special inspection fees for compliance or change
in use, collected by the City shall be paid 50% to inspector and 50% to the City.
5. Independent Contractor. Inspector agrees and acknowledges that he is not an
employee of the City, and is not entitled to benefits other than compensation set forth
in the paragraph above, and is acting as an independent contractor. Inspector is not
eligible for City's retirement plan, vacation, sick leave, unemployment benefits, health
insurance, or any other benefits provided by City to its employees.
