HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Resolutions 1512 RESOLUTION NO. \t A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CITY COUNCIL'S INTENTION TO EXPAND AN ANNEXATION REQUEST OF 3.64 ACRES TO INCLUDE TWO ADDITIONAL PROPERTIES FOR A TOTAL OF 7.92 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED EAST OF CHICORY LANE,INTO THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON RECITALS: A. ORS 222.750 provides that when property not within the city is surrounded by the corporate boundaries of the city,the city may annex the property after holding at least one public hearing on the annexation for which notice has been mailed to each record owner of real property in the territory proposed to be annexed; and B. City Council of the City of Central Point deems that the public necessity and convenience and general welfare of the public require such an annexation; The City of Central Point resolves as follows: Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council to expand a request for the annexation of 3.64 acres to include two additional tax lots totaling 7.92 acres and illustrated in Exhibit"A", which is attached hereto by reference and incorporated herein. Section 2. The Council directs the City Manager to pursue annexation of said properties in accordance with Oregon Revised Statute(ORS 222.750).
