A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE BUDGET; MAKE APPROPRIATIONS AND LEVY TAXES FOR THE BIENNIAL BUDGET PERIOD JULY 1, 2017 THROUGH June 3o, 2019 RECITALS: A. Oregon statute (ORS 294.326) requires municipalities to prepare and adopt a financial plan (budget) containing estimates of revenues and expenditures in compliance with Oregon budget laws prior to making expenditures or tax certification. B. No increases were made to the proposed tax levy of the approved budget, nor were any budget estimates increased more than io%as limited by law. C. A public hearing was duly held by the City Council of Central Point, Oregon on June 8, 2017 for the approved biennial budget in the amount of$49,991,429. The City of Central Point resolves as follows: To adopt the budget, make appropriations and levy taxes for the biennial budget period beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 3o, 2019. Section 1. Taxes and other receipts of the City of Central Point are hereby appropriated for the purposes set forth below. As authorized by law and the Charter of the City of Central Point, Oregon, there is hereby levied upon the taxable property of said city as shown on the tax rolls of Jackson County, Oregon, for the biennial budget period which includes fiscal years 2017/18 through 2018/19, the rate of $4.47 per $i,000 of assessed valuation for general government purposes, as follows: Subject to Not Subject to General Fund Measure Limits Measure 5 Limits Total Permanent rate limit tax $5.8328 $5.8328 TOTAL LEVY $4.47 $447 Section;. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to enter the appropriation for each organizational unit, program, and division of the budget separately on the proper books and records as prescribed by law; and is further directed to certify to the Assessor of Jackson County, Oregon, the levy of taxes of the City of Central Point, Oregon, and to take all other steps with regard to said budget and levy as required by law.
