Mr. Tucker gave the council some figures on improvement of Bigham
Drive from Pine Street to Oak Street. He said if the city returned
the street to existing condition, with a dust oil coat, it would
cost the city approximately $187,50, 22 days labor of city crews
plus granite. He said a petition had been taken out for the paving
of Bigham Drive. If the petition came in and was approved, he recommended
the city do the excavation (as city share of the improvements) and
save the property owners some money.
Councilman Van Horn asked why spend the money for oil coat if the
petition was to be brought it.
Councilman Manasco said a report of the hours spent by the city crews
should be kept if they do the work.
It was moved by Tonn, second Van Horn to take the PuE~lic Works
