Common Council met in special adjourned session with Mayo"r Saxbury presiding. Roll call found: Adams, Ayres, Bartley, Holbrook, Mushaney, Robison; present. Absent; none. ' The puppose of the meeting was a bid opein~.g for street improvements. Somers Construction Company, Medford, Oregon Schedule A $23,075.61 Schedule B $55,490:18 , Schedule C $32,503.05 Total Bid $111,068,85 - Motion Robison," second Ayres to table bids for study and tabulation:' Mr. Vern Kight appeared before the council to say that he had received a letter from the City, wtif,h a covenant to be signed. He said-he felt the council was asking more than he had agree to do. Mayor Saxbury read the minutes of the previous meeting, where the Kight!.s had agreed to certan things, including the covenant, He also read.-tYie '. letter as sent to the Kights, August 15,1966. He asked the Kghts if this .was not what they had agreed to do at the last meeting,, 1`'Irs. Kight said she would not sign anything, because they were. unable- to get a contractor to do the work for them. Mr, John Robison stated this was not true, because he had talked to the contractor and he was willing to do the work. Mayor Saxbury'stated that an agreement had been reached on August g, 1966, and the subject was closed, Mr, DI, A. T~Iead then appeared before` the council to discuss the West Pine V,~lla Subdi.vi_sion.,water and sewer lines. .Also attending the meeting with Mr. Mead was Mr. Shaw, engineer. Mr, Mead would like to get the council to approve the plat, so that he could proceed with the work. His contractor-has been waiting for two weeks. Dueto:the possible change in weatter, he would like as much speed as possible on the approval. The plans have been ready for about 10 days for the city engineer to check. -- 3 C J -, - Motion Robison, second Holbrook to turn the plans over to Bill Warren,' city engineer to have him check them. If he approves the plans, Mr. P!tead could start immediately. If he does not approve, they must be returned to~'the council. for further study. This would be at a special meeting of the council. Motion carried. Letter of intent from Dale and Ruth Aliedermeyer was read, .This letter referred to the property the council discussed at last meeting. -172 acres, more or less; together with improvements thereon, listed in .'the Jackson County Assessor's Office as Tax Lots 200 and 300-36-2W-31(6-k). >+ ~,If option approved by council, the sum of $250.00 shall be paid to owners ' `for'option.'for 1 year.
