Ro11r;Cal1 found: Adams, Ayres, Bartley, Mushaney, Robison; present. Absent, Holbrook.: Also present; Mansfield, Mason, Tate. Motion Robison,. second Eartley to approve the minutes as mailed to each councilman. Motion carried. Attorney Mansfield read Ordinance No. 815, this being an Ordinance annexing a contiguous area to the City of Central Point. (N,A. Mead property).. Motion Robison, second Adams, to approve Ordinance No. 815. Roll call vote. Motion carried. Attorney Mansfield read a proposed Ordinance regarding Nuisances., Motion Mushaney, second Adams to approve Ordinance No. 817,this being an Ordinance defining Public Nuisance, prohibiting the maintaining _, of the same, providing abatement procedure, providing penalties, and repealing Ordinance No. 210. Roll call vole. Motion carried. 1 Attorney Mansfield read Ordinance No. 818, this being an Ordinance regulating fences in Central Point, Oregon, and repealing Ordinance No. 760. Motion Adams, second Bartley, to approve Ordinance No. 818. Roll call vote. Motion carried. The Planning Commission minutes were discussed. They had recommended a zone change for Lots 5 and 6, Block 9, Original Town as requested by Mr. ~iageman. Motion Adams, second Ayres to call for Public Hearing to change Lots 5 and 6, Block g, Original Town from Residential Zone I to Residential Zone II. Hearing to be June 7, 1966 at 7..:30 P.M. Motion carried. Letter from Mrs. Carr was discussed. Request was made for a three `way land exchange on the Easterly side of Scenic Avg. in newly annexed land. The exchange would be between the Catholic Church, Carrs, and the City of Central Point, ~. Moti on Mushaney, second Bartley to tentatively approve the exchange based on a survey furnished by a qualified surveyor. Motion carried. 1.. Petition for zone change for Dr. Roberts, was referred to Planning Commission. " Dr. Rutter presented a plot plan of a proposed Crater Osteopathic Convalescent Home to be added to the present Crater Osteopathic Hospital. After discussion, Dr. Futter was referred to the Planning Commission for th~:i:r approval of the Home. !I i • , ~ 6~5 ' Per. Mason~pr,esented the following.-proposed street"projects "and asked the council`if they 'wanted to authorize the City Engineer, Bill Warren, to proceed-with these projects. Mr. Bruce Bauer, a member of the Citizens Committee working on the Rogue`Basri"Sewerage System, came 1Sefore the council to discuss the ~arious~problems connected with the proposed system. Reginald Romine, Upton Road resident, came before the council to 8~k if he: could connect 5 units on Upton Road (newly annexed) to the existing Royal Heights Plant No. 1. He said it would be gravity flow. Tabled. Mayor Saxbury advised the council of a League of Oregon Cities Regional .° meeting ao,be held Tuesday, May 31, at 7:00 P.M, in Medford. • Letter?from_~Mrs. Ganong, 546 Laurel Street, was read. She complained of ~~ children playing ball in the City Park at 6th and Laurel. Motion.Mushaney, second-Adams to appoint Bartley and Ayres to check on the park situation. Motion carried.
