' - The Common Council .met in special adjourned session with Acting
Mayor -Bartley presiding. Roll call found: Adams, Britton, ::Holbrook
and'~Robson, present. Absent. Mayor Saxburyr Also present.

•`'Public .Hearing was called on the annexation of Mead, Miller and
_. -, `School':Dstrict 6 properties. Ordinance No. 811 was read, this being
~~ and Ordinance Annexing a Contiguous Area To The-City of Central
~ Point, Oregon. Motion by Robison, second, by Britton that Ord. #811
be adopted. Roll call vote. All in favor. Ord. #811 declared
~ duly adopted. -

CYJ A letter was read from Edith Ruozi, 21~g So. Third Street, wherein
-she.r`equested permission to operate a Beauty. Salon at the above
- -;address. A beauty salon had been operated at this location for
several years. Motion by Robison, second by Holbrook that Mrs.
-Ruozi be allowed to continue operating a beauty salon at this
_ address. All in favor, motion carnied.
A Liquor License application for dispensing packaged liquors from
the Three Boys Market was presented to the Council for approval.
Motion by Robison, second by Holbrrok that the application be
approved. All in favor. Motion carried.
Building Inspector, George Gilham explained Ty-Seal joint- Neoprene
gasket for pipe joints. A request had been presented to him to be
--- allowed to use Ty-Seal. Mr. Cal Bowers asked if this joint could be
used inside of a building also. Gilham said yes except that on a
stack a special lubricant must be used. "Motion by Holbrook,
second by Adams to approve the usage of Ty-Seal as approved by
the State Board of Health. All in favor. Motion carried.
Mr, Cal Bowers was asked if he had any questions for the Council.
Negative.
'A motion was made by Robison, second by Britton to approve the
Stop signs just installed. (List inserted) All in favor. Motion
carried.
The plex of Rodney Halls, on Manzanita Street was brought up
for approval. Inasmuch as the Planning Commission had failed to
place a Stamp of "Approval" on the plat-The Council elected to
refer this back to the Planning Commission for approval.
Councilman Robison, Charm. of the Sewer Committee discussed the
problem of installation of sewer and water lines on the Germann
property. How costs should be pro-rated and other difficulties.
No decision at this time.

Mr. Bowers requested information of the cost to the School District

for additional pumping units in the Mead subdivision. .Information
supplied.
Robison recommended that-each Councilman read the_ireport'~-from ,
Engineer Wilbur Warren. on problems at the main Pumping :plant..:,,.
Copies of this report to be sent to each Council member.; '
Mr. Robison also suggested that cycle should be changed on the.
motors at the pumping plant so that-they would be operating at all
times. It was felt that this would alleviate the problem. of overflow
into Bear Creek.
Motion by Robison, second by~_Holbrook that the meeting.be adjourned.
All in favor. Motion carried.
