There is e~•ery indication that one of
the atrungec~t local organizations of the ~
order in this state w'sll be built up at ~
this place, and it is confidently expected
that the charter membership will ex-
ceed 50 at the meeting Saturday.
1n a few hours' work Monday evening
and Tuesday morning Messrs. Marshall ,
and Upton secured almost 40 members
from among the very best people of the i
valley and it will not be surprising if
the 100 mark is reached by Saturday.
The grange stands essentially for
sociability, education sad co-operation
among its members, and those who
have already penetrated its mysteries
promise their friends who become mem-
bers Saturday afternoon some pleasant
an'' profitable sur~arises after they get
on the inside.
The cyst of merttberahip is $1 for men
and boys and 50 -cents for women and
girls, with annual dues of $1.20. All
over 14-years of age are eligible for
full membership. - -- __ T ----- -- -
