Monday morning. The _£ire vas dis-
covered at about 5:3 a A.M. and - a
call -was sent 'in to the forest patrol
office for help. Une ~flf the state
trucks came over, taut -the water
primp on the truck was frozen and
useless Only a pyrenP fire extin-
guisher was available and vas used
to save the wood s'~ed and garage
in the rear. Nothing 'in tie house
w_as _ saved, except- _ soiree clothing.
Mz•. Norum is employed at the
Eik Lumber company mill. 1-ie pur-
chased the hau~e about throe _yeazs
ago; Both the'i house and contents
WeTE partially iii~uz•ed and the
,d owner states that he expects to re-
lI, build as soon as: possible. Mean-
a_ while tk:e family is living in the
garage in the rear of ,,~~iome site.
