The following e~ctract from a letter
recently receivved by the HRRALA from
12.. M: Stocker, of Honesdale, Pennsyl-
f v~nia, is straight to the point as re- ~
1 Bards some of the present needs of
Central Point as well as the promising
future prospects of the town. Mr.
Stocker has visited Central Point sev- ~
eral times and is a relative of S. ~.
Adams, of Table Rock, where he owns I
some valuable fruit lands. He is a'
wapm friend of Central Point, as the
following wiH show: ~
"Y observe railroad talk in last Her- ,
gld, Central Point is located more
favorably than its rivals and the situa-
tion is beautiful as well.
"With a water supply, good roads
and shade trees Central Point will be- I
come a place where men of means will
be glad to locate in the near future. ~
Yau are between the extremes of heat{
and cold, and with the fine mountain
scenery surrounding the town it makes
CeiztraI Point desirable as a place of
residence. The hard hinters that pre-
vail over so much of the United States
are constantly driving families to more
genial climates. Southern California
is built up with the dissatisfied from
Bald regions and, in my opinion, people
of that class will yet be found among
the comers to Central Point. But you
must have a town water supply and
streets that willnot be miry with mud
.after rains, in order to secure such
'people." .
