Two offices are being con- structed in -the front portion of the building. where the Valley Billiards pool hall was formerly located. The work is being done for "the Crater Investment Co., new owners of the building. To date, partitions for the two offices have been completed and the first coat of plaster has been applied to the walls. Doorways will be constructed fn the front of the building and the rear area will be painted. The rear portion of the build- ing will be used for the Valley Billiards. Pool table equipment has been sold to Joe Whitsett, who will operate the business. The remodeling work will be completed early in August. ~rBW W1deriS City streets City employees began work this week cutting back shoulders of city streets to widen and clean up city roads. ` At the present time, the crews are working- ott First and Sec- ond streets. Plans are to .cut and grade all streets within the 1%m- its 'of the city. Grading work will be started also on Bush street. It is plan- ned to apply a coating of oil to the . street pext week.
