HomeMy WebLinkAboutC.P. Herald 07/23/1914A proclamation -
In view of the fact that on r-navy of
the streets of our city sweet. clover and
weeds have grown to sack an extent
that they seriously interfer with ped-
entrain travel, besides combining to
make adjacent property unsafe and un-
sightly, i wish to call. the public's at-
tention to Artical ?, Section 1, of our
city charter, which makes the removal
of same from the property line to the ,
middle of the streets and alleys com-
pulsorv by the owner of the adjoining
land, and I trust that the sage loyal
~pjrit that prompted an a}moat univer-
sal compliance to a si~niliar suggestion
~ year ago, will acuate the peop}e again-
this year, and the civic pride of our cit-
izens that is surpassed in no other tower
in the valley, will result in a genera}
clean up in this matter that wilt- -reflect
credit on us all.
-thief, 1j3. -~. Grim, and asst. chief, E. ~
E. Scott, are busy every night in burn-
ing over some of the many dry areas,
and anyone who wants the grass burn-
ed near his premises should apply to
one of the above Warned me:n, who wi-l
fix a tune for thal~ purpose. ~
